Given below are he different
bets and how you can place those bets. Any confusion
you may have had about how to place a bet will
be solved after reading the below mentioned details:
The Pass Line Bet:
When you
place your bet on the pass line before a new
shooter begins their roll, a simple Pass Line
bet begins. Physically, all you have to do is
place your chips in the middle of the big band
labeled the Pass Line. If the shooter rolls a
7 or 11, you win. In case the shooter rolls a
2, 3, or 12, you lose. If the shooter rolls any
other number, that number becomes the point number
and your bet stays up. To win your Pass Line
bet you want the shooter to roll that number
(the point) again before a seven is rolled. If
a seven is rolled before the point number is
rolled again, you lose the Pass Line bet. The
same process starts once again as soon as number
7 is rolled, or the point number. Though, very
few bets hold low house edge the game allows
the player to place innumerable amount of bets.
The Pass Line bet, probably the most common bet,
happens to hold one of the lowest house edges.
The Don't Pass Bet:
To place
this bet, you have to place your chips in the
narrow section just beyond the Pass Line labeled
Don't Pass. In this bet you win on 2, 3, or 12,
and lose on numbers 7 or 11. A 12 on the come
out roll is like a push in Blackjack, a position
where nobody wins or loses. The number that is
rolled next becomes the point and you win if
7 is repeated before the point is repeated. Notice
how this is the opposite of the Pass Line bet,
and also notice how you win when the shooter
loses. It may appear to be very nice of the casino
to offer an opposite bet of the normal one, but
the amount that the casino pays for a Don't pass
bet with odds is crappy, to say the least.
Free Odds:
Free Odds can be
taken on the Pass Line, the Don't Pass Line,
Come, and Don't Pass bets. One can only place
free odds bets on the table after you have placed
certain negative expectation (in order to back
these bets with better odds). Just to Illustrate
this point, suppose you place a pass line bet
for $5, and the table allows for free odds up
to 10 times, you can place $50of free odds behind
your original $5 bet. In effect, it lowers the
original house edge of the pass line bet.
The Come Bet:
You'll quickly
notice the large area of the craps board labeled
with 'Come' smack dab in
the middle of the playing area. Before reading
ahead please make sure you have read about the
Pass bet and other rules of craps given earlier.
If you know everything about Pass Line bet, then
understanding 'Come' bet will not be a problem
whatsoever. 'Come' bet is absolutely similar
to Pass Line bet except that, you can place your
bets even after the pointer is set. There is
nothing like a come bet on the Come out roll
as it will become absolutely similar to the ass
Line bet.
The Don't Come Bet:
The don't
come bet is the exact opposite of the come bet.
It Is made after the point Is set by the shooter.
If a 7 0r 11 is rolled the don't come bet loses,
If a 2 or 3 is rolled It wins, and 12 Is a standoff.
